July YOY demand slowed compared to 2020 but remained strong in most areas compared to 2014-2019, as seen in the number of July 2021 single-family contracts in the areas below. It's also important to note that this is the first summer since the COVID vaccine so people feel comfortable traveling again. Many will be back after Labor Day. Most of the buyers of U.S homes during the COVID pandemic were domestic. With more travel restrictions lifted, many analysts are expecting more foreign buyers of U.S. houses this Fall.
July 2021 Greenwich Single-Family Contracts:
-Greenwich: 45 (-30%YOY, but higher than 2015-19, with 37 in 2015 coming closest)
-Old Greenwich: 15 (-21%YOY, but higher than 2015-19, with 14 in 2014 coming closest)
-Riverside: 17 (-10%YOY, but higher than 2015-19, with 15 in 2015 the closest.)
