The Flinn Gallery: Glow
The Flinn Gallery is a non-profit, education-oriented exhibition space that presents art in all mediums from a wide range of periods, visions and techniques. The Flinn Gallery's current season's exhibit, Glow, is opening from February 9 until March 22. Ryan Crotty, Susan Meyer, Linda Kamille Schmidt, and Audrey Stone, explore the nature 2D and 3D artworks intersecting with themes of color, transparency, process, and materiality. Ambient light plays upon color illuminating artworks that glow, pulsate, and float in space. Don't miss your chance to see these amazing pieces!

Art Lounge and Marjane Satrapi’s Persepolis

Fritz Horstman, Education Director of the Josef & Anni Albers Foundation, will discuss Josef Albers, Interaction of Color while making connections with the artworks in GLOW. Accomplished as a designer, photographer, typographer, printmaker, and poet, Josef Albers is best remembered for his work as an abstract painter and theorist. He favored a very disciplined approach to composition. Most famous of all are the hundreds of paintings and prints that make up the series, Homage to the Square. In this rigorous series, begun in 1949, Albers explored chromatic interactions with nested squares.
