Sarsen's Top Super Bowl LVII Commercial Picks

Some of us tuned in to Super Bowl LVII to see the Chiefs play the Eagles, others to watch Rihanna’s halftime show, or to see the commercials. In all aspects it was an eventful night from Rihanna’s pregnancy announcement to James Bradberry holding Smith-Schuster, giving the Chiefs the automatic first down. One thing is for sure, like every year the commercials were star-studded and entertaining. The Sarsen Team has created a list of their Top 5 Super Bowl LVII to share.

1. PopCorners: Breaking Bad

It’s been nearly 10 years since the final episode with Jesse Pinkman and Walter White in the TV series Breaking Bad, but the two are back this year for PopCorners. Aaron Paul and Bryan Cranston, along with a feature from Raymond Cruz as Tuco Salamanca, take on their past roles to tell us the product is really, really good and everyone is going to want them. It was nice to see our old fav duo break into something good this time.

2. Workday: Rock Star

Rock stars work hard to earn their title, especially those featured in the workday commercial, Ozzy Osbourne, Billy Idol, Joan Jett, Gary Clark Jr., and Paul Stanley. When the business world starts taking the phrase “rock stars” to describe their top achievers through Workday, the legends have to put their word in.  Workday, an enterprise software company, shows what start like Ozzy Osbourne, as a business-suited, tie-wearing new employee or Paul Stanley in full kiss uniform looks like stepping into the office. The Sarsen team would definitely say we have rock stars... but not the way as someone like Ozzy.

3. GM x Netflix: Why not an EV

General Motors and Netflix have teamed up for their Super Bowl ad featuring Will Ferrell thrown into some of Netflix’s most popular series, like Stranger Things, Squid Game, Bridgerton, Army of the Dead, Queer Eye, and Love is Blind. The combination of the comedy actor and shows we all know and love made this commercial one of our tops.

4. Michelob Ultra: Dynamic Duo

Michelob Ultra set their commercial at the fictional Bushwood Country Club from movie “Caddyshack,”. With features by Serena Williams, Brian Cox, ex-Cowboys player (the Sarsen's fav football team) Tony Romo, soccer star Alex Morgan, boxer Canelo Álvarez, and the famous gopher living in the greens, the commercial recreated scenes from the famous movie. This commercial created a funny and nostalgic feeling for the viewers with seeing another great victory for Serena.

5. Rakuten: “Not-So Clueless”

Cher and company came back years later for Super Bowl LVII to talk about Rakuten's Cash Back. Alicia Silverstone stars as Cher Horowitz to show how Rakuten, the free app and browser extension that finds coupons and earns cash back, is better for her spending habits.

BONUS!

T-Mobile: Bradley Cooper and His Mom

How could we not add this adorable commercial put together by T-Mobile? Watching Cooper’s mom try her best to recite/remember her lines, while her famous son does his best to coach her along can't help but bring a a smile to your face . Watching these two communicate reminds the Sarsen Team of the so familiar mother son relationship.
